New site design

In June 2004, a completely new site design for GoldenNumber.net was introduced.  The new design will make the site more visually appealing and easier to navigate and read.  It will also make it easier to find phi related resources.

The original site design was developed way, way back in 1997, when only techies were into the Internet.  My goals have always been to keep the site easy to understand, quick to download and free, with very little that would make it seem overly commercial in its purpose.  I was recently told by a good friend in the field though that my site was like Neiman-Marcus with the doors closed, so I'm making more quality products and services available from the site, but will still never resort to annoying pop-ups or spam.

I think most people will like the new look, but as Coca-Cola found out, not everyone likes change.  So for those of you who like the old, original site, you can still visit it at http://goldennumber.net/classic

The Da Vinci Code - Truth or Fiction?

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

It's not often that you find a intriguing and thought-provoking mystery novel that's a creative and clever blend of mathematics, the creations of Leonardo Da Vinci, sacred geometry, history and religion.  The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown, is creating much awareness and inquiry into the Fibonacci series, the golden section and phi.  Yes, these are quite real in mathematics and this site has been devoted to exploring them for years before this book was published.

Brown's novel is also creating controversy and discussion because of its theological implications.  So how much is truth and how much is fiction?  Unraveling the answer to that question is part of a deeper inquiry into life's origins and purpose that we all should make on our own.  I invite you to explore the mathematical facts of the book here and to contemplate the truth of the spiritual aspects at my other site, Snapshots of God.  Read, explore and come to your own conclusions.  Enjoy the journey!
